Saalex Awarded the Tactical Integrated Threat/Target Training Systems Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity Contract

Camarillo, CA (October 7, 2021) Saalex Solutions, Inc. has been awarded an aggregate ceiling $92,988,452 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. These contracts provide research and development, engineering, integration, test, cybersecurity, upgrade, and sustainment for various tactical threat systems in support of improving aircrew lethality and survivability for the Navy. Work will be performed at China Lake, California, and is expected to be completed in September 2026. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California, is the contracting activity. This win expands on the support Saalex has been providing NAWCWD China Lake and extends the relationship for another 5 years.

The Mobile and Integrated Threat Systems Division has been designated, by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), to develop, sustain, and upgrade training systems aimed to improve aircrew lethality and survivability. Training systems include threat simulators, radars, and training instrumentation capable of operation in the Network-Centric Warfare and Battlespace environments. In order to maintain warfighter relevancy, these complex systems are continuously modified and modernized to provide realistic battlefield scenarios. The TTS contract primarily deals with support to the Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) user community through specialized system software and hardware enhancements, system sustainment activities, user support hotline, and troubleshooting. TCTS systems directly support warfighter training and real-time data for mission debrief events to include live virtual constructive (LVC) data fusion, air-to-air and air-to-ground weapon and threat simulations, and EW threat computations.

“We are very excited to be a part of TTS! Saalex remains committed to providing realistic training environments to support the Warfighter and enhance their combat readiness to face the constantly changing threats we face as a nation. This win allows us to further cultivate our relationship with China Lake, enhances our ability to support the Navy mission, and expands our current portfolio in China Lake and the services we provide.” said Saalex’s Director of Program Operations, Mr. Robert Bezduch.

Saalex will be competing against 8 other companies for individual orders.
