An experienced professional in financial services and asset management (private credit and private equity), Shannon D. Smith brings years of experience in these fields to the role. As Vice President of Corporate Development, he is responsible for sourcing, identifying, and acquiring middle market acquisition targets in the aerospace/defense federal contractor space to help the company grow. Previously a Vice President and Credit Officer for the Clear Vision Impact Fund, a debt vehicle that invests in sustainable minority-owned businesses, focusing on African American and Latinx-owned businesses. Previously a Middle Market Banker for JPMorgan Chase & Co, focusing on Middle Market firms with EBITDA ranging from $25MM-$500MM. Before that Shannon was a global philanthropy associate for the JPMorgan Chase & Co Foundation, focused on supporting organizations that address major economic and social challenges by expanding opportunity and driving more inclusive economic growth, through grant portfolios that he developed and maintained. Specifically, he helped manage a $150 million commitment to Detroit, to spur economic growth. His projects included overseeing JP Morgan’s small business and financial capability portfolio, which works to create investments for small businesses in Detroit and to improve the financial health of Detroit residents. At JPMorgan Chase & Co. he also served as a Co-Chair for the firms Equity & Inclusion working group.
