Camarillo, California – Saalex had another successful attendance at the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Navy Gold Coast 2016 conference this year. President/CEO Travis Mack, who has attended this conference for over 10 years, is constantly amazed by the coordination and thought that the NDIA implements into making the Navy Gold Coast a success each year.

The level of NDIA’s commitment to the event and to small businesses was evident by the line-up of senior speakers, as well the ease of accessibility made to the government entities to all that attended. We appreciate our senior civilian government and active duty representatives taking the time to explain the critical need and status of the Department of Navy and the Department of Defense Small Business procurement plans.

It was a pleasure attending panels hosted by the Navy Commands and meeting everyone at the conference. Thank you to all that stopped by our booth and left a business card with us. Camarillo, California – Saalex President/CEO, Mr. Travis Mack will keynote at Pacific Coast Business Times Spirit of Small Business Awards Award Luncheon on August 19, 2016 at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California. Honorees are celebrated from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Pacific Coast Business Times and the Los Angeles District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) created the Spirit of Small Business to recognize the accomplishments of small businesses. The Spirit of Small Business honors businesses with fewer than 100 employees in the following categories: East Ventura County, West Ventura County, South Santa Barbara County, North Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County, Woman-Owned Business, Minority-Owned Business, Family-Owned Business and Exporter of the Year.

Entries will be judged based upon the nominee’s record of success, ability to overcome adversity and community commitment, in addition to meeting the basic requirements of being tri-county based and having 100 or fewer employees.
