Camarillo, CA (March 01, 2024) – Saalex Corporation, a leading provider of engineering, IT, and mission-critical services for defense and government agencies, is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year after a remarkable journey spanning two and a half decades.
Founded in 1999 as a small business, Saalex was the vision of CEO and founder Travis Mack, a U.S. Navy veteran dedicated to supporting critical defense and space programs. Saalex quickly earned acclaim for technical excellence, collaborative teamwork, and relentless commitment to customer missions.
Over the past 25 years, Saalex has rapidly expanded into a nationwide provider with more than 1,200 employees, mostly recently after a significant strategic acquisition. On January 24, 2024, Saalex acquired Spalding Consulting, a software and IT services firm supporting the U.S. Navy and other defense customers. The $75 million acquisition grew Saalex’s annual revenue to over $175 million and established an East Coast presence near key naval facilities.
In addition to this recent acquisition, numerous other major milestones over the last 25 years have propelled Saalex’s dramatic growth, including:
- 2011: Secured 11 major contracts back-to-back, surging past 250 employees
- 2013: Achieved $35 million in annual revenues
- 2015: Named SBA’s Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year
- 2018: Won eight consecutive contract wins
- 2019: Earned SBA Region 9 Small Business Prime Contractor Award
- 2022: Acquisition of Netsimco accelerated growth to $100 million in revenue
- 2024: Purchase of Spalding Consulting expands employee base over 1,200
