Camarillo, CA and Rockledge, FL (April 13, 2022) – Saalex Corporation’s ELVIS 3 launch team is providing launch technical integration support for the upcoming Crew-4 SpaceX launch, scheduled for April 20 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission will take four crew members to the International Space Station (ISS).
The crew will spend its time on the ISS conducting scientific studies, living and working as part of Expeditions 67 and 68 of the orbiting laboratory. Crew-4 will be NASA’s Commercial Crew Program’s fourth crew rotation trip with SpaceX, and its fifth crewed flight overall, including the Demo-2 flight test.
The Crew-4 will be carried into orbit on a Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket, which will be making its 91st launch. Developed by SpaceX, the Falcon 9 is a two-stage rocket capable of delivering satellites and the Dragon spacecraft safely into orbit.
The ELVIS 3 team has supported several previous SpaceX missions in the past year, providing critical engineering, programmatic and technical support for each of the launches.
“The Saalex launch team continues to perform flawlessly for every space mission it supports, helping to make space flight almost a routine activity,” said Robert Bezduch, President of Saalex. “But of course, every mission is an amazing adventure, demonstrating the incredible innovation of our nation’s space launch capability, and the ingenuity of the team behind it. We are so proud to be a part of these missions.”
