Camarillo, CA and Rockledge, FL (February 24, 2023) – Saalex Corporation’s ELVIS 3 launch team is providing launch support services for the upcoming Crew-6 SpaceX mission, taking a new crew to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission is scheduled for February 27 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Crew-6 launch will mark SpaceX’s sixth time sending astronauts on an operational mission to the ISS in partnership with NASA. Assigned to the upcoming Crew-6 mission are a total of four crew members, including two NASA astronauts, an astronaut from the United Arab Emirates, and a Russian cosmonaut.
The Saalex ELVIS 3 team has been providing technical services for the upcoming Crew-6 launch and the return of Crew-5 from the ISS, providing invaluable support to the Commercial Crew Program. The Saalex Mission Integration team has been involved in numerous activities, such as supporting Program Control Board meetings, creating directives, maintaining records, and scheduling Technical Review Boards. It has also facilitated the CCP Space-X Crew-6 Flight Readiness Review and supported the Crew-6/Crew-5 Dragon Mission Management Team meetings.
This is the latest SpaceX mission that the ELVIS 3 team has supported, as it has worked with SpaceX for a number of launches in the past couple years, providing critical engineering, programmatic and technical support for each of the missions.
