Camarillo, California –Saalex Solutions, Inc. has been recognized by the Pacific Coast Business Times as the second fastest-growing company in Ventura County.
Since opening in the late 1990s, the engineering and information-technology company has evolved from a one-man operation to become a significant commercial and defense industry contractor, with multiple offices and more than three hundred employees.
Saalex President & CEO Travis Mack, a Navy veteran with expertise in software development, entered the defense contracting industry in the early 2000s and was eventually contracted to provide weapon technology and evaluation support to the Naval Air Warfare Center at Point Mugu.

Despite the recent rapid growth, Mack says he wants to keep the company relatively small. He expects the growth rate of nearly 250 percent from 2010-2011 to “slow” to 35 percent for 2011-2012.
“We want to be strategically smart about our growth,” he said. “We will continue to grow, but at a more manageable and predictable pace.”
